Who We Are
WOSJI is an NGO established in 2024 by a dedicated team of experts, the Women’s Safety and Justice Initiative (WOSJI) is a pioneering organization focused on empowering women and girls in Somalia. Our mission is to dismantle systemic barriers, advocate for gender equity, and enhance access to justice to drive transformative change.
With our headquarters in Mogadishu and a strong commitment to community-driven solutions, WOSJI is deeply engaged in addressing gender-based violence and promoting women’s rights. This localized approach enables us to provide tailored strategies that effectively navigate the complex socio-cultural landscape of Somalia, ensuring that all women and girls can live, work, and thrive without fear.
Our Mandate
We work to prevent and respond to Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We endevour to promote protection, justice, and dignity for all, with survivor and trauma-informed approaches.
Our Health, WASH and Environment initiatives focus on improving access to clean water and environment for a better healthy living for a more resilient community
We are committed to empowering women through its dynamic Entrepreneurship Training and Business Accelerator Programs accross the country.
